About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

Meals-on-Wheels, Inc. of Greenwich exists to ensure that no neighbor in our community goes without nutritious food. We deliver healthy, affordable meals directly to the homes of Greenwich residents who need them.

Our clients include the elderly, people with disabilities, handicapped and infirm who are unable to shop or cook for themselves and require home-delivered meals on a short-term or long-term basis.

Clients also include preschool children at the four Greenwich pre-K programs and children participating in a local academic support program. We contract with Filling in the Blanks of Norwalk to purchase and deliver daily meals to these young citizens each week.

Meals-on-Wheels volunteers deliver nutritious meals and critical personal contact, bringing connection and reassurance to neighbors who might otherwise face isolation.

Volunteers Literally ‘Drive’ Our Organization

Dedicated Meals-on-Wheels volunteers power this mission, delivering healthy, well-prepared meals to neighbors across the Greenwich community. Their commitment ensures that those who cannot shop or cook for themselves receive dependable nourishment and meaningful daily contact.

Volunteer drivers deliver meals Monday through Friday between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., serving as a trusted point of connection for the people we serve. Meals-on-Wheels of Greenwich operates 11 delivery routes across town, supported by a team of 75 volunteer drivers who make this essential service possible every day.

For individuals outside the Greenwich community, our Resources page provides information on organizations that offer similar services in surrounding areas.
